Redid this one in newer colors and textures, so the back is no longer a hilarious clusterfuck of sloppily blended nonsense.
v3 textures. 8829 polys. Child through elder. Elders keep their color (but they might age into the wrong shade cuz I suck at familying, you can just switch them to the right color, though.)

This is a pretty old mesh but it’s still one of my faves. I think I might’ve blended in some of Nouk’s newer textures but don’t quote me on that. 4188 polys. Teen through elder only. Elders keep their color but they might age into the wrong shade because familying with WW apparently does that, ugh. But you can just switch ‘em back to the right one.
I have like four (technically six) other hairs to post, so, sorry in advance for the spam.
mesh (not included): get it here!

Too much non-sims on my simblr. Here is a hair that I don’t think I have released yet? In-game pic stolen from Azaya, because lazy. It is an older mesh and only 550 polys. The mapping is a tiny bit weird right on the outside of the puffs but the texture mostly hides it.
I think I have a few more hairs lurking at the back of the catalog so I will post them if anyone is interested!
As a Norweigan, my hearts bleeds whenever I see something Marvel's Thor related. I don't know why anyone thought it was a goo idea to turn my forefathers gods into a superhero, but at the same time I realize that someone did this because they thought "oh hey, this old norse god thing is hella cool!" What I mean is that not everything in this world is done out of spite; sometimes people just have a different way of showing their appreciation. :)
Anon, I can’t tell if you’re trolling or not. But acting on the good faith that you are not: a fundamental aspect of appreciating another culture is that culture’s consent. You can’t appreciate someone in ways that they don’t consider appreciation, you know? Like, I don’t get to bust into your house and express my “appreciation” for your sense of decor by stealing everything that isn’t nailed down. You don’t get to decide for someone else the best way to appreciate them, they do.
I. I really don’t understand why y’all are still sending me messages about this. It’s been two weeks. We’ve all said our respective piece already. At this point, I think it’s safe to assume that no one is going to be changing hearts and minds that haven’t already been changed.
I wish you had given the poor girl a chance to explain her intentions before singling her out publicly... A private message would've been nice? Maybe a kind ask for her to take down the CC request? I dunno, I know you tried to be nice, but you seemed overly angry at her ignorance, which couldn't be helped... I get it's an important item & I agree we shouldn't mess with it. I really do. But your approach was poor & less than favorable. )':
I’ve been ignoring a lot of the anon messages I’ve been getting about this because there’s no reason to keep harping on this matter (and most of them have just been straight up nasty and name-calling), but given that there seems to be some confusion, I guess I should reply publicly to at least one to clear up a few things.
As I explained before, I reblogged her post publicly to reach not only her but those that had liked and reblogged the post favorably, in case anyone was interested in or had already started fulfilling her request. I begged people not to fulfill the request, I said “please” repeatedly, I wasn’t angry and I did not expect people to reply with such vitriol or for the issue to get so huge. I only got angry when people continued to be willfully ignorant, and even then I wasn’t angry at the OP, just folks in the reblogs spewing misinformation.
Folks keep coming to me saying how I should have been kinder, that I should have approached the matter a different way but they have nothing to say regarding the fact that the image she posted was itself hurtful. People are quick to say that seeing an image like that causes no harm, but I beg to differ. If you want to come after me for not being kind enough when begging for some respect to be shown, I hope you’re equally as hard on the people who post images of hipster assholes misusing our cultural symbols in the first place.
I want to stress the fact that this isn’t a matter of my opinion. I and other Native people, when we ask that our symbols left alone, we are echoing the sentiments of our ancestors who have asked for the same. And I very sincerely hope that the people who keep saying that we are taking this matter too seriously are doing so from a position of being fully informed of the horrors that our parents and grandparents experienced.
The fact that we still have these traditions at all is honestly a miracle. For a very long time, and until very, very recently, it was the policy of our governments to try to erase all traces of our heritage, often through violent means. What we have left to us becomes all the more precious, especially in the wake of all that has been lost. So if someone claims to be informed on and care about the cultural issues effecting Native people, but knowingly posts images of our precious cultural symbols being mistreated, it kind of feels like a slap in the face and doesn’t exactly set the stage for a discourse that isn’t at least somewhat emotionally charged.
I’m very sorry that creaturefearsims felt the need to leave the community. I definitely empathize with feeling like you need to step back from stuff. I did speak to creaturefearsims privately and we agreed there were no hard feelings between us. So at this point, I really don’t know what to tell you, anon.
edit: nativeafua reblogged with a really great link I’d def recommend checking out, also!
quinctia replied to your photo “well that was considerably less infuriating with a quicksave feature.”
You know, I’ve always been able to manage everything but the damn chocobo race. And, of the ones I’ve done, I find the stupid butterfly race thing the worst.
I actually freaking managed the Chocobo race for the first time in my life, but that’s only because I had quicksave on my side. But yeah, I agree the butterfly catching is the stuff of agony. This time around I just watched a tutorial and timed myself against it (with liberal use of quicksave) but on console it was pure rage-quit. Never have I been so angry at butterflies.
But as much as I hate the butterfly game I do admittedly love that it is necessary for Kimahri, of all people, to get his ultimate weapon.
well that was considerably less infuriating with a quicksave feature.
