i decided to play A:MR on pc instead of ps3 and i got to wondering how to go about doing a mesh replacement for a dress, specifically, the one above. because i’d like to do a playthrough with the dress’s effect but god if i don’t hate everything about the dress itself.
problem is i’m kind of clueless about non-sims meshing?? like, i know i would need to get my hands on the 3d model somehow and i could easily just replace it with a nicer dress mesh and a texture replacement by someone the heck else. i just don’t know how to actually put these steps into practice.
if anyone could offer me some info or direct me to a tutorial i’d be super grateful, ty :<
i want to be done with these hair color conversions. I WANT TO BE DONE.
Hypothetical sitch: what would you do if EA contacted you about using your textures for Sims 4 or something?
haha, um, refer them to the creators whose base textures i used to make them??
i don’t have any claim over those textures, just what i did with them. they’re basically, like, fanfiction.
hey you know what’s awesome
make up transparency issues on dark skin being fucking FIXED in university, that’s what.
hello there :)I was just wondering how do you edit sims faces on milkshape? i tried to look for a tutorial but i couldn't find anything! Please help
hiii! i don’t know if you have experience with milkshape or meshing in general but without it, the following is going to be way useless.
but yes i sort of followed this tutorial by HP but there’s some stuff either not mentioned or that just went over my head i guess because i ended up having to muddle through some stuff on my own. mainly that you export the GMDC from simpe as a 5gd by right-clicking the option in the main menu (NOT as a wavefront object from plugin view, i was so confused about that) and when milkshape asks if you want to create blend groups or correct skin weights that do not total 100% you say NO, NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT to both pop-ups or your milkshape will be filled with lovecraftian horrors.
