[…] it seems incredibly hit-or-miss whether you actually edit the thing you want to select, or something completely different (up/down and left/right on the forehead adjusts entire face fatness and length rather than, say, the actual forehead itself, which can only be made more bulbous or flat), or whether a particular adjustment is even available because ???? It seems a Myst-like pixel hunt for where the hell you’re supposed to put your mouse cursor to, say, resize the eyes, that often utterly fails - can’t find it, or it doesn’t seem to work at all if you do find it.
I FREAKING LOVED IT. LIKE, EVERY SINGLE MOMENT OF IT. Aside from maybe one or two microscopic nitpicks it was perfect in every way and more than I could have hoped for and I really feel like they’re going to do the manga justice this time, I FEEL IT IN MY BONES. And that matters a huge, huge amount to me because the manga was my first and forever love. I haven’t even watched all of the old anime, honestly, because the pointless plot deviations make me squirrely with rage. But back on track, did you notice that even some of the POSES were exactly the same as they were in the manga? Like when Naru’s talking about her family’s store having a sale, THAT’S EXACTLY HOW HER HANDS LOOKED IN THE MANGA. Oh, oh! And Usagi’s ultrasonic crying attack!! SO HAPPY THEY KEPT IT IN. I love that even when she’s just straight bawling she’s still kicking everyone’s ass in the process (and still way better at it than Mamoru; he’s so hilariously bad at everything, it’s great).
I’m totally over the moon (LOL PUN) about it. Waiting two weeks for each new episode is going to be agony.
Thaaat’s a good question, anon! I don’t know. I haven’t played TS1 since TS2 came out, and I never really made content for it. I think the only thing I’ve ever even halfway made for TS1 was a little poster for Azaya when she was playing it more regularly a few years back, but even then all I did was the photoshopping, someone else did the actual make-it-work-in-the-game part.
But given that I tend to devotedly follow Azaya around when it comes to gaming interests (and most other things), if she cycles back around to playing TS1 I will more than likely follow suit, lol.
Umm, yes! That’s pretty much all that I’ve been doing lately. Unless that was a mistype and you actually meant Sims 3, in which case the answer is still yes, just not right away because I’m slightly consumed with getting my TS2 neighborhood set up at the moment!
CrabOfDoom’s mandragora (affectionately known in my and pooklet’s games as mr. shrieky) is one of my favorite pieces of cc. therefore, it was only a matter of time before i recolored it in ridiculous, cutesy, lore-breaking colors. that time has come.
Also, I’ve already started going back and either redoing my old sets (cuz they need a texture update anyway) or rebinning them. Also rebinned some of Azaya’s, too. So for the people who mentioned not wanting to bin old hairs, I’ve got you covered!
I’ll update my info section and such later right now I feel like making more hair, lol.
Apologies to anyone who hates this idea! If you would like recommendations for other people who do hair similarly to me but without weird binning, feel free to message me and I can provide some links!
Hey Tumblr I have a question for you.
So I think I mentioned before that Azaya and I have started binning my unnatural colors to a) cut down on custom bin bloat b) make hair-based turn-ons more widely usable c) have less broken genetics to fix in SimPE when a sim has neon hair and I forget to make it something natural when putting them in game and d) babies born with blue hair?? BABIES BORN WITH BLUE HAIR!!
The darker shades ended up as black, pastels went in blonde, reds and pinks in red, which left most of the cooler tones in brown. There’s a little variation here and there (TNT could probs be a red, but I stuck it with black because it’s so dark; afterburner could maybe be a blonde but I wanted to keep powder cake with the other pastels, etc.) but I really like this system and so far it’s been rly fun to play in my game and see townies popping up with rainbow hair.
So here is my question: if I shared hairs like this would anyone be interested? Because having to do it one way for uploading and another way for personal use is kind of confusing for me and honestly more work than I am willing to do. So if this is not too out there and folks would actually be interested in having neons all up in their bins I will probably start sharing a lot more hair, lol.
But if no one would be interested (which is totally understandable!) then I will just keep my weird binning system to myself and let other people handle the hair-making.
For the record, naturals would still be binned as usual so for those who don’t use neons at all, no need to fret.
Obligatory question mark to enable answers: ?
azaya, reassuring me that to err is human(-shaped bag of star meat)
Hey TS2 community, so as I am organizing everything, I was wondering how the TS2 simmers organize their custom content. Maybe I could get a better idea of how to keep things neat and organized(as I am not totally finicky about it, but I’d like not to have a bomb go off in my computer from my hectic downloads), so if you can screenshot or tell me your best way, it would definitely give me some insight. So, how neat are you with all this gorg cc going around?
I super hope this isn’t completely unhelpful!
