Wow, this is a project I’ve been working on for weeks. And now finally the time has come to share this hard work with you, guys!
I have made the famous Pooklet Photoshop actions into Gimp “actions”. Well, not really actions, they are curves. Curves change the RBG values of a layer. So you start with a base, throw a curve on it, and you have a recolor. Sounds familiar, doesn’t it?
Let’s go on with al the necessary information. These curves use Volatile as base, just like the Photoshop color actions. There are two exceptions. Volatile must be used on a grey base and Flammable uses Molotov as base. Flammable can turn the darker colors in a nasty black. I have not been able to fix that yet, but I’m working on it.
This download includes the natural and unnatural Pooklet colors, two swatches and two textfiles with extra information. I also uploaded Pooklet’s base textures. Those aren’t mine, but Pooklet’s. I just uploaded them for your convenience.
I made these with GIMP 2.8.10, the latest version. They should work with previous versions, but I haven’t been able to test. Let me know if you have any problems.
You install them by copying them to C:/USER/.gimp-2.x/curves. A tutorial on how to use curves will follow.
